The pastoral charge – Port Nelson
United Church reports to the Presbytery, then to the Conference
and then the General Council of the United Church. Our Mission Statement can be found on the Worship page.
A Council made up of Ministry staff and lay members manages
our church. Through our 75 Visiting Elders, who are assigned members
in a district, we extend caring and sharing to all our members.
Trustees
All property, real and personal held in trust for the use
of our
church shall be held by the Trustees, appointed by and on
behalf
of the church acting in accordance with the Model Trust Deed.
The Trustee Board also administers a number of Funds on behalf
of the congregation

The management of the temporal and financial affairs is the
responsibility of our Church Council.

Notes From Council
Council meetings are held on average once a month. The meetings
are open to any member, to attend as a spectator. All requests
to address Council are to be made to the Chair: June Wright,
in advance of the meeting.
